Barista Training & Soft Skill Enhancement for Inmates of Class IIA Tangerang Youth Correctional Facility
Tangerang, August 22-25, 2023 - Second Chance Foundation, in collaboration with MAKA Group and Metamorphosis Psychology Bureau, is extending a second chance to inmates at Tangerang Class IIA Youth Penitentiary through barista training and the enhancement of soft skills.

Over the course of three days, a series of diverse training sessions were conducted with the aim of fostering personal growth among the inmates at Tangerang Class IIA Youth Penitentiary.

Barista Training
Becoming a skilled barista not only opens up enticing employment opportunities but also helps inmates discover interests and talents they might never have explored before.

Psychological Support
During the rehabilitation period, inmates require psychological support and guidance. This support is intended to assist in addressing psychological issues and nurturing emotional well-being, enabling inmates to become better individuals.

Financial Knowledge Empowerment
Managing finances wisely is a key to success for inmates once they complete their rehabilitation. Therefore, this training is designed to provide in-depth understanding of financial management and aid inmates in planning their economic future.

Support from Influential Figures
This event was graced by the presence of several influential figures who play a crucial role in realizing the success of this training. Tejo Harwanto, the Head of the Banten Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, attended to provide support. Evy Amir Syamsudin, Chairperson of the Second Chance Foundation, and Andanu Prasetyo, CEO of MAKA Group, delivered inspiration and insights into the importance of giving inmates a second chance. Nur Jamila, Director of Diverse Coffee, the Metamorphosis Psychology Bureau, and Erwedi Supriyatno, Director of Inmate Rehabilitation and Work Training Production, contributed to ensuring psychological support, so that the inmates are prepared for their reintegration into society.
