Celebrating International Women's Day 2024 "Inspire Inclusion". Collaborated with Second Chance Foundation in Makeup and Nail Art Training at Class IIA Bandung Women's Prison.

Second Chance Foundation welcomed the momentum of World Women's Day 2024 on March 08, 2024, with the theme "Inspire Inclusion" by holding a makeup and nail art training workshop involving vulnerable and marginalized women, specifically for female inmates in Bandung women correctional institution.

The training is schedule for two days, from 04 to March 05, 2024. The make up training is guided by Rizal Permana, a Professional Makeup Artist from Bandung and for the nail art training was led by Chika Alamanda Metania, a Professional Nail Artist and owner of Metanails Studio Bandung.

​The opening event on the first day was attended by the Head of the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Mr. R. Andika Dwi Prasetya, Bc.I.P., S.Pd., Chair of the Second Chance Foundation, Mrs. Evy Amir Syamsudin, Chairperson of the Community of Correctional Women, Mrs. Noer Adhe Kusnali, Head of the Bandung Class IIA Women's Prison, Mrs. Tri Winarsih, S.Sos., M.Sc. Head of the Bandung Class II Special Development Institution for Children, Mr. Mali Jumali, Bc.IP., S.H., M.M., and representatives of other officials from the UPT Corrections in Bandung City.

In her speech, Mrs. Evy Amir Syamsudin said that the beauty industry is a vast opportunity. In the community, skills and expertise in makeup or nails are in high demand. Still, it requires business capital that is not too high, so there is ample opportunity for female inmates to become financially independent in the future. Return to society. In line with the remarks from Mrs. Evy Amir Syamsudin, Mr. R. Andika Dwi Prasetya said that he expects the knowledge gained in this training activity to help achieve a better future and hopes that the participants will later become professional makeup or nail artists.

​As the name suggests, the Second Chance Foundation seeks to provide a second chance for inmates so that once they are free, they become creative, productive, independent human beings and can be accepted back into their environment as human beings with dignity who will not repeat their mistakes.

​

Apart from that, we also increase public awareness in the hope that society can replace the negative prejudice towards WBP with a positive spirit to elevate their status.
