Second Chance Foundation Supports IPPAFest 2025 - Sponsored Makeup and Hairdo at the Inmates' Fashion Show Parade

Jakarta – Second Chance Foundation (SCF) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of inmates’ potential by participating in the IPPAFest (Indonesian Prisoners and Prison Alumni Festival) held on April 21-23, 2025. This event is an extraordinary platform to showcase various works and achievements of inmates from various Correctional UPTs, as well as to show how rehabilitation can shape a brighter future.

During the opening ceremony of IPPAFest which took place on April 21, 2025, at Lapangan Banteng, SCF provided support in the form of makeup and hairdo for a fashion show parade that showcased the results of clothing designed by inmates in prisons. This activity aims to provide a motivating experience and increase the self-confidence of the fashion show participants, as well as prove that they have great potential in the fields of art and creativity.

To support the success of this event, SCF invited makeup and hairdo trainers who have been partners in training programs held by SCF in several Correctional Institutions. These trainers have been actively guiding inmates in honing their skills in the field of beauty and hairdressing, which is one of the practical skills that can open up job opportunities after they are released. By providing a touch of makeup and hairdo for this fashion show parade, SCF hopes to provide an opportunity for inmates to show the results of their hard work, as well as boost their confidence and enthusiasm for positive change.

SCF also seeks to raise public awareness about the importance of providing support to inmates and former inmates. In this regard, SCF involves partners who have collaborated in training programs and share information about the good things that inmates have done while serving their sentences through social media. In this way, it is hoped that the public can better understand the importance of rehabilitation, as well as provide a second chance for them to contribute back to society.

Through its support for IPPAFest 2025, the Second Chance Foundation continues to be committed to supporting the empowerment of inmates and providing space for them to show that they can achieve a better future after undergoing the rehabilitation process. SCF believes that by providing relevant training and opening up opportunities to participate in positive activities, inmates can have the opportunity to achieve a more dignified life.
